Framingham, Mass. - (October 2, 2014)
Virgin Pulse, the market leader in the rapidly-growing employee health engagement category, today announced that CEO Chris Boyce will speak at HR Southwest alongside Susan Piglia, AVP Corporate Wellness at Ochsner Health System, on the growing trend of holistic wellness programs among Fortune 1000 companies. The session “Beyond Cost Savings: Next-Generation Wellness Molds High-Performing Companies,” taking place on Tuesday October 7 from 3:15pm-4:15pm CT, will be part of the 4th annual HR Southwest, the largest regional human resources conference in the United States.
Part of the Business Management Strategy track, Boyce and Piglia’s presentation will discuss how organizations are increasingly taking a holistic approach to employee well-being by supporting all aspects of health, increasing employees’ energy, productivity and motivation at work and beyond. Piglia will share how Ochsner Health System created a comprehensive employee wellness program that not only supports employees’ holistic health, but supports Ochsner’s company culture and mission as well.
“It’s extremely important we support all areas of employees’ well-being so they can feel their best at work and beyond,” said Susan Piglia, AVP Corporate Wellness at Ochsner Health System. “Employees who feel their best are able to bring their best to work. By going beyond physical health and supporting employees across all aspects of their well-being, we’ve seen 89% of eligible employees enroll in the program.”
“Showing your employees you care about their overall well-being has major benefits when it comes to employee engagement,” said Chris Boyce, CEO of Virgin Pulse. “At Virgin Pulse, our mission is to change lives for good and help people live better every day, and that’s exactly what we’re seeing through the success stories at Ochsner Health System. By offering tools and resources that support all areas of employees’ well-being, Ochsner Health System has maintained a workforce full of energetic, productive and focused employees.”
