Who are you?

The People Leadership Team at Virgin Pulse is seeking to attract an accomplished Sr. Director Organizational Effectiveness leader to create and drive global talent and organizational strategy, processes, and practices across the company to enable individual and organizational effectiveness.

In this newly formed position, the Sr. Director (or VP) Organizational Effectiveness will lead global talent development, organizational effectiveness, change management, learning and development and internal communications through proven processes and methodologies.  This role will report into the Chief People Officer and have 3 direct reports – Internal Communications Manager, Sr. Manager Global Leadership Development, Sr. Manager Global Learning & Development.   

The Sr. Director, Organizational Effectiveness will oversee and guide the team to provide consultative services and implement best in class solutions in the areas of organizational effectiveness, change leadership, performance management, employee engagement, leadership development, succession planning, career development while ensuring D&I is embedded throughout all programs and practices.

The Sr. Director, Organizational Effectiveness will work collaboratively with the VP, Total Rewards, Sr. Director, JEDI, VP, HR Operations, Sr. Director, North America HRBP and Talent Acquisition, Sr. Manager, International HRBP and Talent Acquisition, and business leaders to drive the change leadership, organizational effectiveness, internal communications and talent agenda that will allow Virgin Pulse to achieve the future growth strategy and become a great place to work.

Candidate must have substantial business experience and proven expertise in the areas of change leadership, organizational effectiveness, internal communications, and talent development. 

 

In this role you will wear many hats, but your knowledge will be essential in the following:  

  • Develop and drive the global organizational change, communication, and talent strategy and long-term roadmap.
  • Build, develop and lead a team of 3 professionals who will contribute to strategic insight and ensure execution and reinforcement of all programs and processes; will provide ongoing performance discussions and feedback, and provide robust development and career plans.
  • Define and oversee cross-company integration programs and projects with specific members of direct team (i.e. Performance Management, Employee Engagement, Organizational Design, Career Development, and Change Leadership).
  • Create and implement learning and development strategies to ensure that VP has the required human capital to meet its strategic business objectives.
  • Create a diverse and inclusive culture by ensuring D&I is embedded in talent development strategy, programs and all talent and communication initiatives.
  • Implement core and common organizational effectiveness tools (i.e. Employee Engagement Survey, 360 feedback, New Leader Assimilation) to ensure maximum engagement and continuous improvement of the Virgin Pulse leaders at large.
  • Assist with the provision of expert facilitation and coaching to supervisors and managers regarding Talent Development, OE, communication, change leadership and Learning methods and tools.
  • Deploy enterprise initiatives, best-in-class tools and processes (e.g., talent reviews/succession planning, performance management)

You also take pride in offering the following Core Skills, Competencies, and Characteristics:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Organization Development, Psychology, Human Resources, Business or a related field. A Master’s Degree in Business or a related field is desirable.
  • 8-10 years of experience demonstrating a deep knowledge or organizational effectiveness, change leadership, talent management, learning and development, internal communications & employee engagement
  • Experience working in a global organization.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills leading a diverse global team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a global environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
