Who are you? 

As a Project Manager for Virgin Pulse, you are in an integral role in the organization which directly influences a client’s success. You will have primary responsibility for managing complex client projects that can include new implementations, expansion implementation, platform migrations, and any ad-hoc efforts requiring strong project management skills. In the role of Project Manager, your job will be to ensure clients are ready to go live by working directly with client contacts and third party partners as well as the assigned Account Manager. Every day you will utilize Virgin Pulse’s standard implementation methodology, processes, and tools.  This role is intended to work with our health plan and distributor client base. 

 

In this role you will wear many hats, but your knowledge will be essential in the following:  

  • Project manage the implementation of new Virgin Pulse customers and/or adding of expanded purchased services
  • Serves as an subject matter expert on all operational aspects of all Virgin Pulse solutions.
  • Project manage platform migrations on as needed basis
  • Maintain overall implementation project ownership and drives the coordination of activities and deliverables among all internal Virgin Pulse departments
  • Deliver the highest level of client satisfaction to ensure a successful launch
  • Manage the operational and tactical activities of supporting any 3rd party integrations
  • Respond to and resolves client requests and questions during the implementation process
  • Solicit client feedback and shares with Product Development for consideration
  • Employ Virgin Pulse’s standard project methodology, processes, and procedures
  • Respond to and resolves client requests and questions during the implementation process
  • Participate in pre-sales activities to drive new business including RFP completion, prospect sales calls, and in-person finalist meetings on as needed basis
  • Provide supplemental operational and tactical support to Account Management and/or Client Delivery teams on as needed basis
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to improve the scalability of implementation services
  • Serve as a buddy to newly on-boarding team members as a part of their orientation and training
  • Perform special projects as requested.

What you bring to the Virgin Pulse team:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in related discipline
  • 2 – 3 years of directly related project management or software implementation work experience working on complex projects with large corporate clients
    • Previous experience working directly with clients strongly preferred
    • Greater experience could lead to possibility of Senior Project Manager title
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience working with project management tools (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, etc)
  • Experience working on either (preferably both) a Software as a Service (SaSS) and wellness / wellbeing / health care environment

Continuous Integration and Deployment is part of our DNA.  We structure our applications as microservices and manage each deployment pipeline using containers, GitLab, and Harness.  We strive for layered approach to unit, integration, functional tests to allow for lower risk releases at rates 100s of times per day to multiple environments.

 

You’ll be working on a platform that serves:

  • Several million users with nearly 50% use daily
  • 75 billion API calls and transactions a year spread across 35 services
  • An engaging native mobile platform driving 85% of user traffic
  • Hundreds of terabytes of data spread across multiple transactional and analytical stores

Engineers at Virgin Pulse work in small autonomous teams of technical leads, product owners, project managers, designers, and engineers collaborating with each other, across teams, to deliver unique solutions and products to the portfolio.  As part of our team, you bring to the table your technical and leadership skills to help us build the latest technology in health and wellness platforms.

Security Competencies:

Work to ensure system and data security is maintained at a high standard, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the Virgin Pulse application is not compromised. Ensure industry best practice coding standards are adhered to ensure all code developed at Virgin Pulse is free from bugs and security vulnerabilities, such as those defined and published by OWASP.
