Who are you?

The Internal Communications leader is responsible for developing and implementing internal communications strategies and plans that engage, align, and inspire employees around our vision, business strategy and culture, and drive employees’ understanding and engagement on Virgin Pulse’s company pillars. This person will work with marketing team to ensure consistent messaging, tone, style and voice for all communications in alignment with brand standards. In tandem, this person will serve as a strategic partner to Virgin Pulse’s P&C and leadership teams to develop internal communications to help keep employees informed, engaged, inspired, and connected. The ideal candidate will possess strong verbal and writing skills and excel at working collaboratively to deliver consistent, high-quality work.

 

In this role you will wear many hats, but your knowledge will be essential in the following:  

  • Develops and executes proactive and strategic communication initiatives in partnership with global teams across Virgin Pulse
  • Understands the unique needs of the organization (pillars, products, tools, process) in order to produce effective and relevant communication strategies
  • Assists in the development and implementation of a comprehensive internal communications program with specific strategies and action plans to effectively communicate and influence internal stakeholders
  • Maintains organizational-wide Intranet, Pulse
  • Coordinates and collaborates holistically with global-wide locations and diversities to ensure full inclusion
  • Provides support to the Employee Experience team and onboarding new hires, as needed
  • Partners with Human Resources, DEI, Marketing, and Leadership teams on their communication strategies
  • Creates and implements strategies and programs designed to help employees become brand ambassadors
  • Creates and publishes blog posts and social media content as appropriate
  • Provides proactive and reactive messaging that supports key initiatives and program rollouts
  • Utilizes multiple communication vehicles, formats and channels to engage employees
  • Coordinates with cross-functional teams to implement consistent communications across organizations
  • Ensures company is informed, educated and engaged in key events and initiatives
  • Partners closely with other internal and external communications teams to align on and prioritize communication opportunities
  • Aligns internal and external voice of the company
  • Plans and executes company-wide global communication events to include webinars, meetings, town halls, executive listening tours
  • Establishes and maintains collaborative partnerships with key internal stakeholders to understand what motivates VP employees
  • Serves as a key player in making Virgin Pulse a best place to work by elevating the employee experience at Virgin Pulse

What you bring to the Virgin Pulse team

  • Highly creative with a passion for storytelling
  • Solid verbal communication skills
  • Flawless writing skills
  • 3-5 years of internal, corporate or executive communications experience
  • Tech savvy – expertise in Sharepoint, Zoom, and MS programs (Word, Excel Powerpoint)
  • Design experience a plus (InDesign, Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom or other)
  • Ability to manage multiple cross-functional projects and workflows simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented and proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Outgoing, enthusiastic personality and positive attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to energize, engage and mobilize employees and internal stakeholders
  • Aptitude for corralling constituents to adhere to delivery timelines
  • Intellectually curious with a drive to continuously improve and optimize employee engagement
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, HR/People team, and leadership
  • Video editing experience a plus
