In a recent survey of nearly 2,000 respondents, 85% said that they think an employer has a responsibility to take a leadership role in encouraging and promoting healthful behaviors on the part of its workforce. Although employees seem to be asking for a wellness program, participation in traditional employee health programs averages less than 15%. However, Virgin HealthMiles participation averages 40%.
