Join the Resolution

Happy New Year, everyone!
Many people take the start of the new year to refocus their energy and concentrate on their health. It’s important to look at yourself and see what needs improvement, but why not take the same approach with your organisation? This year, make a corporate resolution to focus on the health and wellbeing of your employees to help stem your costs. It may at first seem like too big a task. But health care costs have been steadily rising, and if we don’t do something now, our employees’ health will continue to decline while our costs will continue to climb.
If we want to make a global change and address the growing problem of unmanaged, preventable health care costs, we need to start by addressing it in our own organisations. You’ve probably heard me say that business success is all about the people. You hire great employees but to get the best out of them, they need to be at their best. Make an investment in programmes that help your employees take care of themselves now, and you’ll reap huge financial benefits later in the form of greater productivity and fewer health claims.
This is an important problem on not only a business level but also on a humanitarian level, and we all need to do our part to reverse the trend and get people healthy again. So make a decision this year to have many more happy, healthy new years in the future for your businesses and all your employees.
