This post is part of a series about the Virgin Disruptors event, Create New Ways to Work, presented by Virgin Pulse.
When it comes to Millennials, everyone has an opinion. Either we’re a lazy, unprofessional, coddled generation that’s addicted to our devices. Or we’re goal-oriented innovators whose tech-saviness is key in the digital age.
But some of the labels given to my generation are just that – and like any other stereotype, a lot of these assumptions are rooted in misunderstanding. So, whether you love us or love to hate us, one thing’s certain: Millennials now outnumber Gen Xers and Baby Boomers – and we’re evolving how work gets done.
Today, we released our latest survey of more than 1,000 U.S.-based, full-time Millennial employees (not Virgin Pulse members). The report, “Misunderstood Millennials: How the Newest Workforce is Evolving Business” uncovers who Millennials really are, and what we really want out of our companies.
