Healthy Eating: Tips for Parents and Kids with Busy Schedules

October 16, 2018 / Employee Wellbeing Best Practices

It’s October, and usually that means that all the best-laid plans and intentions about “new year, new family habits” have gracefully…flown directly out the window.

Eating healthy with hectic schedules is not easy, full stop. For HR leaders, this provides you with a very real sympathy for people within your organization – you know that it’s not easy for you so you understand that it’s not easy for them!

Studies have shown that healthy habits formed in childhood lead to higher states of wellbeing and overall health far into adulthood. Even generally healthy families tend to slip during times of stress or change, especially when heading back to school.

When it comes to change, little tweaks can go a long way.

We’ve had the pleasure of working with world-renowned physician and nutritionist, Dr. David Katz and compiled a few of his tips for making back-to-school a starting point towards a healthier year.

In this Quick Read you’ll learn:

  • Tips for creating healthy eating habits for the whole family
  • Fun ways to get your kids to eat their fruits and vegetables
  • How to make back-to-school a starting point towards a healthier year
